Hope you well folks!! I can’t believe that December is here, obviously it is a favorite month in the calendar year isn’t? more importantly every one of us are ready to wrap up 2017 and getting ready for 2018 as well. Well, 2017 been a fabulous year so far and a remarkable year to me as I stepped into food photography as a career, in a nut shell, 2017 – overall a year of learning I must admit. Blessed enough to learn and experience some new cuisines  as a part of my photography projects as well, what else could be better than this?  So today I’m going to share 5 new dishes that I tried for a first time and my food photography experience under a challenging  scenario which turned out to be a memorable dining experience too. Can’t agree more to what Dorothy Day said once

” Food for the body is not enough, there must be food for the soul”.

To start with

Carob walnut bread with smoked bread

Prepared by Chef Poppy Kourkoutaki from Elia Restaurant – Majestic Hotel Tower.

This is definitely a must try if you visit their restaurant. I still remember, Chef Poppy walked with a huge smile, asked me to try, initially I was reluctant as I was so full, but when I took the first bite with the smoked eggplant puree all I remember was “Chef Poppy can I have one more plate?” #Soulful

Lobster Falafel

Prepared by Chef Georges Najim  from the renowned  Khayamat Al Bahar, Madinat Jumeriah.

I’m a big fan of Falafel and when chef asked me to try the lobster Falafel, I  was carried away . Hang on a second, it wasn’t a traditional fried falafel though, however Chef George understood very well that people are health conscious and he served it baked with a twist. #healthy.

Charcoal grilled chicken

Prepared by John Buenaventura from Cuisinero Uno.

Well, it is just the chicken what is so special? – that’s exactly I thought in my mind, but let me tell you this…there was something special about that chicken, flavor of charcoal was perfect and  couldn’t resist myself from bumping into their counter again. This is definitely a must try option if you visit their restaurant.  #flawless.

Dover sole with fregola sarda, snail caviar and parsnip.

Prepared by Thorsten Killian from the legendary Al Muntaha , Burj Al Arab.

To be very honest I never been to this restaurant but heard a lot though, as a matter of fact they didn’t prove me wrong, it was absolutely brilliant!  they created a huge excitement and made me wanna go there now. #musttrynow.

Wasabi Poori

Prepared by Chef Pradeep Khullar from Mint leaf of London!

This is probably one of the busiest counter I must admit. What a great blend of wasabi with dahi? Though it was pungent I couldn’t say no to it, would strongly recommend and would love to try this again for sure. #Ilostmyself

I had a great opportunity to try 48 mouth watering delicacies however due to my poor appetite, I restricted myself to 10 and curated  5 of the best “never tried delicacies”. Hope you guys enjoyed it!

Many thanks to Sheraton Dubai Creek for organizing this one of a kind experience with 24 best of the best chefs from  Dubai’s leading restaurants and they did all they can that took diners to an extraordinary gastronomic journey .

Though the whole brunch concept was harmonious  what amazed me even more was to know that  the proceeds from the afternoon was  shared with Al Jalila Foundation, a non-profitable global philanthropic organization dedicated to transforming lives through medical education and research, founded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai.  What a great initiative ?.

It just reminds me of what Anthony Bourdain one of my favorite Chef said once and I quote “Meals make the society, hold the fabric together in lots of ways that were charming and interesting and intoxicating to me. The perfect meal, or the best meals, occur in a context that frequently has very little to do with the food itself.”

Once again many thanks  to Sheraton Dubai creek for inviting us, truly an honor and  pleasure being a part of this great initiative..

Innovation, passion to create great customer experience and giving back to community are the three things that I learned from this amazing brunch experience. Huge round of applause to Sherton Dubai Creek, to all the chefs & restaurants that participated in this great initiative  and I look forward to see hotels and restaurants embrace great innovative concepts like this that  creates ever- lasting flawless and memorable experience to the foodies of UAE.

As always overall ratings as follows…

Stay tuned and watch this space!!

Many thanks for the gift of your time!
